Teen Volunteer Review.

Valerie G. from our Machacek branch read Breathe by Sarah Crossan.  This dystopian thriller has a group of teens trying to survive on a future Earth, where oxygen levels have plunged and the green world has withered. We asked her for a brief run-down of what she thought.

If this book was a person in her school, Valerie said she would definitely like it on facebook.  The swooniness factor was a little disappointing said Valerie, giving it a 6-out-of-10.  If she had to pick an actress for the leadrole, Valerie pointed out that Jennifer Lawrence, Katniss from The Hunger Games, and Mystique in X-Men: First Class, would be perfect.  Having chosen the book based on the cover, Valerie was surprised to find the story pretty compelling, and would definitely recommend it to a friend.  Overall, Valerie felt that the book was good, but hoped that the sequel (no surprise there) would be better.
